About The Role
SRC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager who will be keen to develop their skills, whilst having a proactive and positive approach to being part of a developing wider team. The role is being offered on a permanent basis to an individual who is driven, ambitious and looking to take that next step in their career. The role
Assisting and supporting the Senior Project Managers with their portfolio of projects, which will include:
- Helping to develop Project Programmes
- Helping to create and manage Risk Registers
- Attending and administrating meetings supporting the Senior Project Manager in following up actions as appropriate
- Drafting Monthly reports as required
- Assist in the co-ordination and production of tender documentations, which will include gathering information and formatting documents
- Manage invoicing and Purchase Orders for the PM team and ensure that all projects have a cash flow forecast and a schedule of invoices is passed to the Office Accounts Manager as required
- Undertake and develop Project Skills by delivering a project with support from the Senior Project Managers
- Assist in Business Development events, documentation and meetings as required
- Report to Director
Skills, knowledge and relevant qualifications
- Ideally, you will have experience of and/or and understanding of Project Management within Construction and/or Infrastructure sectors, and a basic knowledge of Project Management life cycle including, estimating, scheduling, contracts administration, procurement, commercial controls and reporting
- A practical and proactive approach to problem solving, with analytical skills for resolving issues which may arise, such as planning, contract administration and procurement issues within construction and design activities
- A good set of organisational skills, with attention to detail, whilst having the ability to keep projects moving forwards
- Have good knowledge of MS office suite and ideally knowledge of Microsoft Project You should be willing to work as part of team, where you will get the benefits of working for a small company, such as being able to undertake Business Development and take part in discussions around future plans
- You should be friendly, approachable, proactive, a good communicator, and have the ability to positively interact with colleagues and clients alike
- Be open to developing your skills through mentoring and training as required
Other requirements
- Willing to undertake relevant security clearance checks, and inductions as required by our clients (DBS etc)
- All staff must have a Driving Licence and the ability to drive to projects, although sustainable travel and the use of Teams is encouraged to help the carbon footprint of the work of SRC
